Google usually updates the PageRank score three or four times a year. It certainly has impacts on countless websites’ rankings and presence in Google search. Listing in quality directories is a good way to increase your web presence, or in guru terms, your PageRank , MOZRank and Alexa Ranking, to name a few.

In the good old days of search engine optimization we were taught to apply tips and tricks in page design and add bunch of meta content on each page, hoping that higher ranking could be achieved. However, nowadays there’s one single thing that really count – content.

The more quality backlinks you have, the more popular your website is deemed to be. It’s one of the crucial factors to have a high ranking in search engines

A very powerful visitor-centric analytical tool for your website. It provides very in-depth drill-down information on who your visitors are, where and how they come to your website (e.g. via social media or via particular search terms) and their behaviors while visiting your website. However, you need a google account as well as placing some tracking codes inside your website to track these information

4. Website Health Check

It provides kinds of “sanity checks” of your website coding and helps to debug any problem areas which potentially hinder your website to be effectively indexed by search engines

Just another business directory?

We saw there are quite a few marketing directories published in Hong Kong, in Asian or even around the world. We, however, also saw majority of them didn’t evolve to tap into demands nowadays.

It’s a crazy idea that we ultimately decided to make a better one ourselves. Thanks to the open-source community, building a robust and secure web application is far less painful then years before. We also talked to our marketing friends to understand their needs and at the end of the day tried to work out a marketing directory which can be:

  • viewed painlessly on mobiles and tablets
  • well connected with social media
  • rated and commented with good credibility
  • keeping pace with latest categorization of marketing services

We’re glad to see the above features built like minecraft into our website over the last few weeks. We’re even happier to see it go live smoothly after a long day of final testing and tuning.
